WHY PILATES?
Pilates is a very precise and intelligent method of movement. Developed by Joseph Pilates, this method of exercise is a total body programme that conditions body, mind and breathing.
It is a conditioning routine that may help build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips, and back. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing, and developing a strong core or center, and improving coordination and balance. Pilates' system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginning to advanced. |
WHO IS IT FOR?Everyone interested in improving the way they move and feel.
My clientele range in age; from those whose work demands too much sitting; to those who sit too little; from dancers, actors and musicians, to sportspeople; from people with injuries and chronic pain, to pregnant women; to those who have never exercised before, or those who always have and always will. |
